Lowering the cost of living

Too many Minnesotans are working twice as hard to get half as far. Working families are the engines of our economy, but soaring costs and stagnant wages are preventing so many from being able to comfortably afford their lives.  We believe all Minnesotans — whether white, Black, brown, Native or newcomer — deserve access to fair wages and economic security.

This means that Minnesota’s leaders must do more to make sure working families, small businesses, and family farmers have the opportunities and tools they need to build a good life. When working people have access to quality, good-paying jobs and are protected from corporate greed, they can invest in themselves, their families, and their communities.

Increasing the freedom to care for family & contribute to community

We need to build an economy that respects working families. No matter where we live or how much money we make, all Minnesotans should be able to take the time they need to care for themselves and their loved ones — whether in a medical emergency, the end of life, or to bond with a newborn. And all working parents deserve access to quality, affordable child care that allows them to keep building a better life.

Making health care more affordable

No Minnesotan should have to choose between medical care and making ends meet, but for too long big pharma and the insurance industry have prioritized profits over people. Minnesotans are struggling with high costs and often have to choose between needed care and medicines and other expenses. We need our leaders to come together and expand access to affordable health care and rein in soaring drug costs.

Protecting working people’s voice in their communities

Minnesotans value freedom and agency, but for years big corporations and the ultra-wealthy have had an outsized sway in our government. In America, we choose our leaders, not the other way around. We need our leaders to strengthen our democracy and uplift the voices of Minnesotans so that everyone has the opportunity to participate in the decisions that impact their lives.
