Report Deceptive Ticket Resale Practices
Please use this form to report instances where you believe you were misled, deceived, or price-gouged when trying to buy tickets online. Your story will help us understand how consumers are being harmed by predatory ticket resale practices and fake ticket websites.
Common Problems We're Tracking:
Fake or Misleading Websites: Sites that appear to be official ticket sellers but are actually third-party resellers charging inflated prices
Hidden Secondary Market Sales: Purchasing what you thought were face-value tickets, only to discover you were buying from resellers at marked-up prices
Deceptive Search Results: Secondary ticket sites appearing first in Google searches, making them seem like the official source
Price Gouging: Tickets being resold at extremely inflated prices by bots or scalpers
Bait-and-Switch Tactics: Being directed to resale sites when official tickets are still available
What We're Looking For:
The name of the website or platform you used
How you found the site (Google search, social media ad, etc.)
Whether you realized you were buying from a reseller
The difference between what you paid and the face value price
Any misleading language or design that made the site seem official
Your Information Helps: We're working with the Minnesota Attorney General's Office and state legislators to better protect consumers from deceptive ticket resale practices. Your experience will help us understand the scope of the problem and develop stronger consumer protections.
Confidentiality: Your personal information will be kept confidential. We'll only share the details of deceptive practices with appropriate authorities to help with enforcement efforts.
Thank you for helping us protect Minnesota consumers from ticket resale scams!
